An oyster bar in the desert

CRUDA is a mariscos and oyster bar in downtown Tucson, pouring the coast into the desert: oysters on the half shell, aguachiles cured in fresh lime, ceviche towers and molcajetes. The menu stays in Spanish, the way the dishes were meant to be read. Reservations aren’t required, but they’re strongly encouraged.

  • It’s basically all fish, which is extremely rare for a desert town like Tucson. A gem of a restaurant.
